 THEATER PROGRAM

The Down in the Southland Theater Program is a fully inclusive theater program featuring actors with and without Down syndrome acting side by side as peers and cast mates!

Our philosophy is that full inclusion of all people creates better communities for everyone!

Our program is process based and the cast works on more than just putting on a great show! The personal growth of each actor is the first and foremost part of our program.

Check out our Theater Program FAQ page here.

  • Our inaugural performance in 2016 was Annie Jr. All shows were sold out and a fourth show had to be added!

  • Our second year performance of Jungle Book Kids was a colorful and rousing success with box office sales topping our first year! Special thanks to Christopher Casson Photography and Volek Photography for capturing our show!

  • Our third year performance of Aladdin Jr was our most amazing show to date! It was over the top and the cast has come so far! Again, special thanks to Christopher Casson Photography and Volek Photography for using your fantastic talents to help showcase our program!

  • For Spring 2019 we enjoyed creating a fantastic wonderland for Alice in Wonderland Jr!
